77 Sanctioned for Violating Transitional PSBB in Kramat Jati

At least 77 people have been subjected to social work and administrative sanctions for not wearing masks in the transitional large-scale social restriction (PSBB) in traditional markets in Kramat Jati area, East Jakarta, on Thursday (7/16) evening

From 77 people, 64 are subject to social work sanctions and 13 are subjected to administrative fines with a total collected of Rp 3 million

Jakarta Satpol PP Head Arifin who led the raid expressed, to catch them, we deployed 120 joint personnel of Satpol PP, Transportation Agency and army/police.

"From 77 people, 64 are subject to social work sanctions and 13 are subjected to administrative fines with a total collected of Rp 3 million. This is to give deterrent effect and increase public compliance," he expressed.

Disparekraf Seals 26 Entertainment Venues During Transition Period

From the case, he speculated that the number of COVID-19 cases kept increasing during the transitional PSBB, whereas 600 personnel had been on standby in traditional markets, ports and Soekarno-Hatta Airport in order to oversee community activities.

"Certainly the strictness of sanctions can increase the discipline of the community in implementing health protocols," he closed.
